I am trying to install the Neo4j 5.11 Community Server onto a Mac and I can no longer find the necessary tar file on the Neo4j Download Center. What is the current procedure for installing a standalone server? I don't want to use Neo4j Desktop primarily because it does not allow me to specify the filesystem location for the data files. Thanks.
It's still in the download centre https://neo4j.com/download-center/#community
If you click the "community server" tab at the top it is be listed there.
Thanks for your reply. Your screenshot is what I am used to seeing for server downloads. When I clicked on the URL you provided, I was forwarded to : https://neo4j.com/deployment-center/?_ga=2.146482359.2025193326.1692582089-615637176.1638209979#community.
I tried the URL on a different system and browser, got the correct page, and was able to download the server. Not sure what the problem was.
https://neo4j.com/download-center/ is the starting point and the href for the Community Edition and version 5.11.0 and Linux/Mac Executable is
and in general you can simply shorten this to
https://go.neo4j.com/download-thanks.html?edition=community&release=5.11.0&flavour=unix
If you post this URL into a browser are you still unable to download?
Thanks. Using a different browser (i.e. Safari) on a different system, I was able to access the correct download page and download the Unix tar file. Google Chrome is my default browser and I've used it in the past to download Neo4j. Not sure what the problem was. I probably should clear my URL cache.
