I am attempting to download Neo4j Desktop, When I go to the download center and attempt to load the Linux version of the file, I get the MacOS version instead. What should I be doing?
I just went to Neo4j Deployment Center - Graph Database & Analytics clicked on the top icon for Tools
selected 1.5.9 and for Mac Neo4j Desktop (dmg)
and this properly downloaded a dmg file.
Note the resultant URL was
https://neo4j.com/download-thanks-desktop/?edition=desktop&flavour=osx&release=1.5.9&offline=false
note the reference to flavour=osx
That is what happened to me, but I was trying to download the Linux version and I thought that I had selected it by clicking on the appropriate line. I have found this page very difficult to use and the problem may be that I am doing something wrong through not understanding what is expected.
if you select Linux
from the drop down
this results in a url of
not the reference to flavour=linux
and to which the resultant file downloaded is neo4j-desktop-1.5.9-x86_64.AppImage
I never get the lines you showed with a pointing arrow on your screen dump and I suspect that this is the source of the problem. I am running Google Chrome V 125.0.6422.141 on Ubuntu Linux 22.04.1.
do you have any other browser installed upon Ubuntu? trying to figure if this is a Chrome centric or OS centric concern
Sorry. I could not use Firefox so I installed Opera which did not exhibit the same behavior and downloaded the correct file without problems. It looks like the problem may be Chrome specific.
