Neo4j Desktop "Conflicts occurred"

Neo4j DBMS uses a few different ports which Neo4j Desktop checks when starting a new DBMS. When a conflict is detected, Neo4j Desktop offers to change the DBMS configuration to use an open port.

Why do these conflicts occur? What's the best way to handle them? Should you accept the offer to change configuration, or track down the other process using the conflicting port?

On MacOS, Airplay uses ports 5000 and 7000 for the "AirPlay Receiver" according to Why is Control Center on Monterey … | Apple Developer Forums .

Either turn off the "Airplay Receiver" in MacOS Control Center as suggested in the Apple Developer Forums, or accept Desktop's suggested ports.
