Unable to open browser app after Desktop 1.4.3 upgrade

After upgrading to Neo4j Desktop 1.4.3 I am no longer able to open the browser for any db:

I can see and open other graph apps, but the browser is unavailable:

Browser version is 4.2.4

Hi @terryfranklin82 ,

There was also a recent update to Neo4j Browser 4.2.5. It's possible that the two updates didn't occur together smoothly. If you restart Desktop do you get prompted for an update to Neo4j Browser?

A bit more invasive would be opening the directory where Neo4j Browser is installed and removing it. Neo4j Desktop should re-install a fresh Browser at the next start.

The steps would be:

  1. Open the "Graph Apps" sidebar
  2. Click the triangle to show details about Neo4j Browser
  3. Click the link for "location" -- this should open up the directory where Neo4j Browser is installed
  4. Quit Desktop
  5. Go up one level and remove the entire "Neo4j Browser" directory
  6. Start Desktop again
