OEL9 linux compatibility and installtion of version 4

We currently have Neo4j version 4 installed on a CentOS system, which is our source system. We have set up new servers with Linux OEL9 as the target environment, where we need to install Neo4j version 4 and later upgrade it to version 5. Afterward, we plan to migrate the data from the CentOS source system to OEL9.

Could you please share the prerequisites for installation, along with any relevant documentation? Additionally, can you confirm if Neo4j version 4 (and the upgrade to version 5) is compatible with OEL9?

4.4. System requirements are at System requirements - Operations Manual

5 System Requirements are at System requirements - Operations Manual

2025 System Requirements are at System requirements - Operations Manual

We are planning to install Neo4j on new servers using version 4, and later upgrade to version 5. While importing the data from CentOS to the new target servers running OEL9, should we import the data before upgrading to version 5, or can we perform the import with version 4 itself?

If data import with version 5 is possible, are there any specific actions or indexes that need to be created during the process?

to confirm OEL9… as in Oracle Enterprise Linux 9? if so this is not listed as a supported OS. Will it work? maybe? maybe not. It is a environment we do not test against so its not undestood.

‘importing the data’ … can you describe what this means. is the source data to be imported in a csv file? or a neo4j backup/dump file? or ?

Thank you. Could you please share the major changes when upgrading from version 4.4.46 to version 5, and what are the prerequisites?
