I am totally unfamiliar with graph databases. Mostly working still with relational and time series database. I was thinking of using neo4j to 3d visualise archived entities and events. Because it looks like there are some nice tools for this.
I would like to get a general idea about the possibilities.
-
Database and tools to visualise data on a website are fully open source?
-
Is it possible to scroll / zoom seamless through time. So the 3d/2d visualisation shows you data of different points in time (nodes related to specific points in time appear and disappear)? Or is it more static, one time load data, that you can manipulate and if you change something your whole graph is reloaded.
-
Is it possible of tools such as [1] to limit 'camera' xyz angles so you can create this birds-eye-view of the data?
-
Is it possible/easy to replace the spheres from[1] to different objects eg. a character[2]
I would like to visualise people and events over time in 3d any suggestions or pointers would be very welcome.
