when I installed Neo4j GDS plugin and restart it is not working and saying unable restart the server in my Neo4j desktop

I installed a new 5.2 local database in Neo4j desktop. I installed the GDS plugin. It showed the compatible version as 2.5.6 (which is the latest). I got an error when trying to start the server. The logs complained about an error; stating it is most likely a problem with compatible versions. I looked up the GDS version compatible with 5.2 and it showed GDS 2.4. I downloaded GDS 2.4.6 and manually installed it into the 5.2 database's plugin folder. It did start without an error, so try the same.
I got the GDS 2.4.6 jar from here:
Navigate to the 2.4.6 section of the page and click on the "asset" link to show the jar. This should also be a direct link to it.

Thank you @glilienfield for providing instructions for the manual fix.
There was an issue in our last mapping update. Now it should work again and resolve to 2.4.6 for older Neo4j versions!
To get the latest GDS version, I can recommend to update the db version.
