I am unable to work with Neo4j desktop, It gets stuck on choose path scree. I checked my Path Environment variable it has "%SystemRoot%\System32\wbem". Upon hitting confirm button the error shown is:

Hello @jshubhangi2697 and welcome to the Neo4j community
Did you try to uninstall / install Neo4j Desktop?
Regards,
Cobra
Yes, @cobra I tried that multiple times but the same error pops.
Do you have the last version of Windows 10 and done all updates?
yes, I have the Latest version
I never seen this error but it looks like it has been solved: Neo4J windows installation - Stack Overflow
As I already mentioned I have checked my path variable and it has C:\Windows\System32\wbem which is the solution given in this post, Thanks for the reply.
Oh sorry, something I do with others softwares is that:
- I uninstall it
- run CCleaner (clean the registry and files)
- restart the PC
- install the software
Can you try this?
Even I have the exact same error. Would you mind sharing the solution if you were able to solve it.
i have the same issue , tried everything with path environment variable to updating the windows 10 and powershell to the latest version ,yet the issue isnt resolved. Can anyone help me out here ?
Same issue, does anyone got the solution? Tried solution mentioned above (uninstallation/installation, setting variable value in advance system, etc.) but still an issue persists.
In my case after installation, it asks for the folder confirmation and on confirming click nothing happens, but we can see this error developer tool (more info see attached screen capture)
child_process.js:308 Uncaught (in promise) Error: Command failed: wmic logicaldisk get size, freespace, caption
ERROR: Description = Invalid namespace
Is there any log file in \Program Files\Neo4j Desktop?
Elaine
Can you enter power shell and then type wmic?
Does it work for you?
Elaine
Hi everyone,
I was unable to resolve this issue so I used oracle VM and in that worked with Linux based Neo4j.
Has Neo4j Desktop ever worked or did it stop working for you?
What version of Neo4j Desktop?
Do you have any other processes on your system that are running neo4j?
Is Powershell in your system PATH?
Does a restart of your system clear up the problem?
If not, you might want to uninstall Neo4j Desktop and reinstall.
I recommend you install it as Admin allowing all users access, then use defaults for everything else.
