I’m working on a project and my app connected to Aura to generate a graph and within a couple of minutes I was called twice from a San Mateo number 650-525-4514. I was on a recently wiped linux workstation, so I don’t think it was some type of tracking cookie and smart number spoofing.
I plan on sharing the project with the community soon. I think it has some real potential, but it’s very heavy on idea vs. tested implementation at the moment. It would have been unlikely to be created pre-AI-assisted coding.
I’m managing it as a solo developer as a side project. It would have taken a sizable team several months of work and they almost certainly wouldn’t have even considered doing the extras that AI is helping me do, like having annotated step-by-step lessons to walk a new junior developer into the project, a topic by topic guidebook of a narrative of the problems I’m trying to solve, why, and how. The docs also have a dedicated section about the most critical areas of the software and how to evaluate the data it generates.
It’s in a private repo with an AGPL license and I think the core protocol has the potential of being an open standard and the graph analytics part might be a perfect fit for Aura. What’s the best way to introduce a speculative project like this? What worries me is I think the idea is very solid - I’ve run it by the gauntlet of OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and xAI to make sure the theory is sound. I have a lot of tests and I’m trying to generate some synthetic data to verify it would work as intended. Is there an area where I could eventually share it with the Neo4j community with the full knowledge that I am a solo developer relying heavily on AI to help develop the project so I can’t honestly tell anyone I’m sure there are no flaws, even large flaws.
