Lost password for AuraDB Free instance, need to reset without losing data

Hi, I created an AuraDB Free instance a while ago and have since lost the database password for it. I no longer have the credentials file or email from when it was created.

The instance is still running and has data in it that I don't want to lose, so I'd rather not reset it to blank if possible.

Is there a way to recover or reset just the database password without wiping the instance? Happy to provide the Instance ID if needed.

Thanks!

Hi! Thanks, and welcome to the community!

There should be an option in the free tier to submit a support ticket for this issue. Be sure to explain the problem in as much detail as you can.

Also, if you're using the same system where you originally set up your instance, check for the Notepad file you were encouraged to download during the initial setup. I've found several of my own passwords in that file before.

While support may be able to help.

The other option is to:

Neo4j Graph Data Platform

Backup, export, restore, and upload - Neo4j Aura

Also worthwhile to note that this will result in a new connection URI as a new instance will be created
