We have created neo4J local database with plain text password initially, then we changed the encrypted password.
After encryption unable to login with any of the password. Could someone advise what password option to select. We used following command to change the password:
ALTER USER neo4j
SET ENCRYPTED PASSWORD '1,df95dffb8effff8d9b203412707653da006e2696affd578f81430,757ed8bceabdf9264546196f0b5bc7857e43565b8ad7ffed54'
The way I read the manual is that the password is always stored encrypted. Setting as encrypted just used your encrypted version instead of encrypting it.
Have you tried the unencrypted password that your encrypted version represents?
Hi @glilienfield , Do you know which location / file the password will be stored? Appreciated your response.
Sorry, I do not have that information.
@sriganesh.palani
What version of Neo4j is this?
As to where is the data stored? if it is Neo4j 4.2.x forward, perhaps even earlier, its recorded in the system database
