Do I need to pay to use Neo4j Enterprise Edition?

we are now under Startup License for Neo4j Enterprise edition,we installed it on our EC2 instance accepted the commercial licence through the prompt option but there is no place we were promoted to key in the license,the links given for debian installation doesn't show any where we should place that license key please assist,we also want to know if we do have any limit of the Trial Period like the normal evaluation Enterprise edition does?

The Startup Program is good for 1 year, and as long as you meet the criteria still you can apply again before it expires. There isn't a trial period. Once you're approved, you're good to go for use!

You are correct that there is no place to enter the key for access. As long as you have the key, that ensures you legally have access to Enterprise Edition for 1 yr. It's mostly documentation for both parties. Hope this helps!

@jennifer_reif How to join the startup program?

@joshcornejo

Does Neo4J provide an answer to applicants? How do I know if anyone checked my email? :D

Did you receive a response? It looks like the Startup program has been migrated: Build Your AI Startup with Neo4j.

Let me know if you still need assistance, and I can ping a couple of people internally.

Yes, I received a response and was adviced to go to aura - but my 'future' requires the database to be in the same network as the application (low transaction latency is a must), going "out to the internet" is a no-go.

At the moment, I can ignore my network latency, and if there's a spike somewhere i know it is either the query or the code ... if i added the internet then i couldn't tell and would have to deal with more complexity.

I forwarded this to the colleague who is currently managing the Startup Program. However, I would imagine we will have some sort of backup plan for those who are unable to host their startup solution in the cloud, as I'm sure you're not the only one. :slight_smile: Hopefully, more details can be provided soon!
