I opened up my NeoDash dashboards today with the surprising warnings of the impending deprecation on August 31st. I tried migrating my NeoDash (v2.4) dashboards to Neo4j Aura Dashboards, but I saw that a lot of the features and visuals such as TreeMaps, Date Picker Parameters, etc. are missing from the new and very cool looking "Aura Dashboards” tool. Just curious what the timeline is for support of all the NeoDash features is, because I really don’t want to lose those.
Hi @gq16 , hope all is well!
I understand your concern completely.
It’s important to know that we are only archiving neodash as a read-only repository, so it’s not going away. You’re still free to fork and run the repository yourself and use it as long as you want.
What is important to know is that there will no longer be updates (including security patches), so you should be aware you are running unmaintained and unsupported software.
This is also part of the reason why neodash.graphapp.io will be no longer available, we want to make sure people are aware of the risks before running the app.
We’re working hard on Aura dashboards and will be adding new charts & features continuously. Hopefully in the next months there will be a lot more there, but until then feel free to keep using NeoDash.
