Hi, I recently took the certification test for neo4j. There were 6 ‘handson’ questions that asked the test taker to write queries against movie data. There was no sandbox to work with o any other instructions so I used the sandbox and data I had loaded as part of the Data Import lesson. When you run the answer key solution queries against that data, you get my answers for 3 of 6. The other 3 I couldn’t answer because the data didn't; include genre. However all of my answers were marked wrong. Given that there was no sandbox was offered, I believe 3 or my answers should be judged correct and I should therefore pass. Please contact me about this. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing and I am so sorry for this. Please explain the situation to the GraphAcademy directly at graphacademy@neo4j.com
I reached out last night and haven’t heard anything today. Any help?
Thank you. Please give them time to get back to you, but the question will be answered by them, versus the community. You also have the ability to take the test again if you would like.
Ok, it's been almost 2 week and I haven't heard back. How long should it take to get feedback?
Hi @bigdata, I understand the frustration, especially given the wait time.
Two weeks is longer than expected, so I’ll flag this internally to again.
That said, certification results and any potential adjustments are handled directly by that team. They’ll need to review the specifics of your attempt and the exam environment you used.
If you haven’t already, please confirm you emailed graphacademy@neo4j.com from the same address tied to your exam account, as that’s required for them to investigate.
I’ll follow up here once I hear back, but appreciate your patience while they take a closer look.
I can confirm that I emailed graphacademy@neo4j.com on 04/06 wrt this issue, titled 'certification test'
Thank you. I made them aware again.
Hey @bigdata , I'm sorry you had problems with the certification. We have tracked down the bug and fixed it. We can't mark a certification as completed, but if you haven't already, you should breeze through it this time.
Given that I rightfully should have passed the certification, I'm not inclined to retry a test which I ought by right have passed already.
Even for me same happened today. Even after getting passed the certificate is not displaying to download. Can you please help me out on this @graphacademy@neo4j.com? I have also email to you on this.
This is actually different than the situation above I believe. You should have an email confirming you have completed the course. The certificate is not available for downloads, but you have been given a link in GraphAcademy where that you can share. You also have an option to share this achievement on LinkedIn.
Hi @bigdata,
I changed the reply I had originally prepared because it did not reflect the empathy I believe is important pillar for the community.
Thank you for sticking with this and for taking the time to call out the issue. You're absolutely right that the bug impacted your experience, and I understand why that’s frustrating.
While the certification team isn’t able to retroactively issue a pass, the issue has now been fixed, so if you decide to retake the exam, it should accurately reflect your knowledge this time.
Separately, I really appreciate you raising this and helping us identify a real problem. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to send you a Neo4j beanie
as a small thank-you for for your feedback which will help other community members. Please DM me your address if this is something we could do a small token of appreciation.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since any further action needs to go through the GraphAcademy team directly, but they’re the best point of contact if you’d like to revisit this later.
Thank you again for being part of our community.
