HTTP API - Begin and commit a transaction in one request

This method does not work.
Sending request
{"statements" : [ {"statement" : "MATCH (n) WHERE id(n) = $nodeId RETURN n","parameters" : {"nodeId" : 0}} ]}
to
http://localhost:7474/db/neo4j/tx/commit
will result in:
{"results":[],"errors":[]}
instead of node parameters
