Freezing nodes in Bloom

Hey people,
I want to know whether its possible to freeze the scene when expanding a node and not have reordering of the previous nodes so the previous nodes/relationships stay at the same position when new nodes are opened.
Kind regards,
Mario.

Hi,

Bloom will 'pin' nodes if you move them manually. If you select a group of nodes and move them, then expand one, the group should remain pinned. Apart from this, the graph is designed to rearrange automatically as new nodes are added.

Hey Jeff, how do you mean if you select and move them, because if I select all of them and try to expand it gives the option to expand all of them and not just the one I clicked. Is it possible to extend just one while keeping the others in the same place?
Kind regards,
Mario

Hi Mario, if you select a group of nodes and move the whole group (it could even be all of the nodes on your scene), they will be 'pinned' to the new location (even if it is very close to their original location). At that point, you can deselect them by clicking anywhere on a blank part of the canvas. Now, if you select a single node and expand it, it should not interfere with the placement of the now-pinned nodes.
